Mike's farmhouse

Persistent cold and chronic damp in the original, oldest part of a roughly 300 year old farmhouse. That half of the building ran noticeably colder than the later extensions, and the family had stopped using some of it properly in winter.

A semi detached house with a cat slide roof and a front facing dormer. The upstairs front bedrooms were draughty, cold and close to impossible to heat, which is the classic pattern where a roof slope comes down past a bedroom wall.

A newly bought property being brought up to standard for letting. External wall insulation to the front, side and rear. Once the scaffold was up we found significant structural problems in the front elevation, and repaired them before any insulation went on.
